This one is 2mm longer than the standard horn, which is a meaningful increase in throw on a 1\/8 scale car.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAluminum matters here because the horn sits at the very start of the steering chain, so any flex in it is multiplied through everything downstream. A plastic horn deflects under the loads a high-torque 1\/8 servo generates, which makes steering feel soft and imprecise off centre.
