Its rigidity matters more than it looks: a plate that flexes lets the front suspension geometry move around under cornering load, so camber and caster shift as the car loads up instead of staying where you set them. The car feels vague turning in and does not repeat the same behaviour from one corner to the next.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eReplacing the standard plastic plate with aluminum removes that flex, which makes the front end noticeably more precise. It also survives the front-end impacts that crack a moulded plate outright, and on a small-scale car those impacts happen often because the car is light and easy to flip.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eKyosho names this specifically for the Mini Inferno Half 8, and dealers also list it for the Mini Inferno and Mini Inferno ST.
