Busch item 12012 is an HO scale Feldbahn log train starter set that recreates a working narrow-gauge forestry railway in miniature. It features a Gmeinder 15/18 PS diesel locomotive in open cab form paired with a long-timber (bogie) trailer for carrying logs. This is a complete ready-to-run system rather than a kit, so you can be operating your logging line as soon as batteries are fitted, all within a very compact space.

The set 12012 supplies a full track oval consisting of 8 curved sections of 115 mm (4-1/2 in.) radius, one straight track and one connector track each 133.2 mm (5-1/4 in.) long, plus a battery box with a forward/reverse/stop switch. The Feldbahn rails include an integrated metal insert that raises the wheels' contact pressure for reliable pickup and strong, jerk-free pulling power. The oval takes up only about 14-3/4 x 9-13/16 in. (375 x 250 mm). Power comes from two 1.5 V AA batteries (not included) or a 3 V DC supply, and the low-draw motor means long battery life.
