Busch item 12013 is a value-priced entry-level Feldbahn (field/industrial narrow-gauge) starter set in HO scale, giving you everything needed to run a small working line right out of the box. At its heart is a Gmeinder 15/18 PS diesel locomotive in open cab form, hauling a stake wagon and an end-wall wagon. The set is a ready-to-run system rather than a kit, so once you supply batteries you can be running trains within minutes. This narrow-gauge (HOn2/HOf) format packs a lot of charm into a very compact footprint.

Item 12013 comes complete with track, a battery box for two LR6/AA cells (not included) and a directional switch for forward, reverse and stop. The Feldbahn track features an integrated metal insert that increases the wheels' contact pressure on the rails, ensuring reliable pickup and strong pulling power for smooth, jerk-free running. The track oval needs only about 14-3/4 x 9-13/16 in. (375 x 250 mm) of space. The line runs on two 1.5 V AA batteries or a 3 V DC power supply, and because the locomotives draw very little current, batteries last a long time.
