Busch 12020 HO Scale Feldbahn Mining Train Starter Set

Busch item 12020 is an HO scale mining railway (Grubenbahn) starter set that recreates the compact underground and pit railways once used to haul ore and rock. It features a B 360 mining locomotive together with mine cars (Bergwerksloren), forming a complete ready-to-run system rather than a kit. Add batteries and you can be operating your mining line straight away in a very small space.

The set 12020 comes with the special Feldbahn track for a full oval, a battery box for two LR6/AA cells (not included) and a forward/reverse/stop switch. The track includes an integrated metal insert that increases the wheels' contact pressure on the rails, ensuring reliable pickup and strong, jerk-free pulling power. The oval takes up only about 14-3/4 x 9-13/16 in. (375 x 250 mm). It runs on two 1.5 V AA batteries or a 3 V DC supply, and the loco's low current draw means the batteries last a very long time.
