Busch 5963 All Scale Timer Switch (Infrared Unit Required)

Busch item 5963 is a timer switch electronic accessory suitable for all scales, used to trigger a timed action when a train passes. It requires an additional infrared light barrier (Busch 5720 or 5962). When a train interrupts the infrared light barrier, the timer is triggered and switches on a connected electronic device drawing up to a maximum of 150 mA. After an adjustable interval of roughly 2 to 24 seconds, it automatically switches the device off again.

If a train stops within the light barrier, item 5963 extends the on-time until the barrier is cleared, ensuring effects run only while needed. It is ideally suited for switching warning flashers, light signals, illumination, and similar effects, making it a versatile automation building block for layouts in HO, N, TT, Z, G, or O scale.
