Cobalt Blue PLA Prime

Cobalt Blue PLA Prime is made from virgin NatureWorks Ingeo 3D850 resin with colorant only and no fillers. Compared with traditional PLA, it has more heat resistance and toughness, good adhesion, and less warping or curling, and it prints with your existing PLA profiles. Use it for prototypes and display models. All grades of PLA have limits: if a part needs high strength and high heat resistance, look at our other materials.

Recommended print settings

• Hotend: 215–235°C. That may be hotter than you're used to for PLA, because our 100% virgin resin needs slightly higher printing temperatures.
• Bed: 40–60°C. A heated bed is recommended but not required.
• Part cooling fan recommended, up to 100%
• Build surfaces and adhesives: glass, PEI, WELD3D Bed Adhesion Spray, painter's tape or glue stick.
• PLA Prime absorbs moisture from the air. If it under-extrudes, strings or pops at the hotend after exposure to humidity, dry it at 55°C for at least 3 hours.
