Kyosho 1876 Fuel Tank Filter

A large capacity fuel filter for nitro radio control cars.

Everything that gets into your fuel eventually gets into your engine, and a nitro engine has extremely tight clearances between the piston and sleeve. A single particle of grit passing through does damage that cannot be undone and cannot be seen until the engine loses compression. That makes fuel filtration one of the cheapest forms of insurance available for an expensive part.

Dirt gets into fuel more easily than people expect. It comes in through the fuel bottle, off the top of the tank when you refuel at a dusty track, and out of the tank's own interior as it ages. A filter catches all of it before it reaches the carburettor.

The large capacity design means more filter area, so it clogs less quickly and restricts flow less than a small inline unit, which matters because fuel starvation from a blocked filter leans the engine out and causes exactly the damage you fitted it to prevent.

This is a universal nitro accessory rather than a model-specific part. Kyosho files it under accessories, and dealers list it across the Inferno MP777, MP9, MP10, MP-7.5, ST-R and GT range.
