Kyosho 96775 4x10x0.15mm Shim Set 10pcs

A pack of ten shims measuring 4mm inside diameter by 10mm outside by 0.15mm thick.

This is the size used for setting the bevel gears inside a Kyosho differential. The spider gears and outer bevels have to sit at exactly the right depth relative to each other, and shims are what set that. Get the spacing right and the diff runs quietly and the tooth faces wear evenly across their whole width. Get it wrong and the gears mesh on the tips or the roots, which chews them up quickly and can eventually strip the diff entirely.

At 0.15mm these give fine control, which is what diff setting needs. It is common to try one thickness, check how the gears turn, and adjust from there.

Note that Kyosho also makes a 0.15mm shim in a 13x16mm size, so thickness alone will not tell these apart. Check the inside and outside diameters before ordering.
