Kyosho 97008-40H is a genuine pair of 3x40mm hard-spec adjustable rods. These hardened steel turnbuckles thread into ball cups at each end, letting you set link length precisely with a turnbuckle wrench instead of pulling the linkage apart. The hard specification is the key difference here: these are noticeably stronger than the standard rods supplied in earlier kits, which matters most on the steering side where a bent link immediately throws off your setup.

The 40mm length is specified as the steering servo adjusting rod on these platforms, connecting the servo horn to the servo saver, so a straight, rigid link translates directly into accurate steering response. Fitment covers the Kyosho Ultima RT5, RB5, and RB6 along with the Lazer ZX-5, and they carry through to later cars like the RB7 that use the same 3x40mm size.
