A 13 tooth one-piece lightweight clutch bell for Kyosho's nitro Inferno platform.
The clutch bell is the drum the clutch shoes grip against, and its outer teeth drive the spur gear, which makes it both a friction surface and the pinion of the drivetrain. Tooth count sets your gearing. At 13 teeth this gears the car shorter than the 14 tooth version, which builds acceleration out of corners and keeps the engine in its powerband on tight technical layouts, at the cost of some top speed.
The lightweight designation is about rotating mass. The bell spins at engine speed, so weight removed from it is weight the engine no longer has to accelerate, and taking mass out of a spinning component pays back more than the same weight saved on the chassis. Kyosho vents the one-piece design, which also helps shed the heat that clutch slip generates. That matters because an overheating bell glazes and starts gripping inconsistently.
This is an option part over the standard bell. Bearings are not included. Fitment covers the Inferno MP9 and its TKI variants, MP10, MP-7.5, MP777, the ST-R and ST-RR truggies and the NEO range.
