Kyosho BRG028 5x9x3mm Shield Bearing 2pcs

A pair of 5 x 9 x 3mm shielded ball bearings from Kyosho's universal bearing range.

This is a small bearing used in steering assemblies, drivetrain positions and gear supports across a range of Kyosho chassis. Small bearings live a hard life because they sit close to the dirt and take load out of proportion to their size, and they are the ones people forget to check.

The metal shield is what makes these worth fitting over an open bearing. Dust and grit will find an unshielded bearing quickly, and once inside it grinds the races, drags on whatever it supports, and eventually seizes. A shield keeps contamination out and grease in, so the bearing keeps rolling freely far longer in the conditions these cars actually run in.

Bearings are consumables. If one feels rough or notchy when you spin it between your fingers, replace it rather than trying to clean it, because a dragging bearing costs runtime and puts load on the motor or engine.

Two are supplied. Note that Kyosho now supplies this size as BRG028B, so the original is limited to remaining stock.
