Kyosho BRG031 5x11x4mm Shield Bearing 2pcs

A pair of 5 x 11 x 4mm shielded ball bearings from Kyosho's universal bearing range.

This is a small bearing used in steering posts, servo saver assemblies, brake linkages and gear positions across the Inferno platform. Small bearings live a hard life on a 1/8 scale car because they sit close to the dirt and take load out of proportion to their size, and they are also the ones people forget to check.

The metal shield is what makes these worth fitting over an open bearing. Off-road dust and grit will find an unshielded bearing within a couple of runs, and once inside it grinds the races, drags on whatever it is supporting, and eventually seizes. A shield keeps contamination out and grease in, which means the bearing keeps rolling freely for far longer in exactly the conditions these cars are used in.

Bearings are consumables. If one feels rough or notchy when you spin it between your fingers, replace it rather than trying to clean it. Kyosho lists this size across the Inferno MP9, MP9e, MP10, MP10T, MP10e and Inferno GT3. Two are supplied.
