Kyosho IF112D Hard Bulkhead Set Inferno NEO

This is the hard specification bulkhead set for Kyosho's Inferno NEO and ST-RR platforms, covering both the front and rear gearbox housings.

The bulkheads are the cases that hold the front and rear differentials and carry the bearing seats they run in. That makes them structural rather than covers: their fit determines whether the ring and pinion stay in correct mesh under load, and a bulkhead that flexes or cracks lets that mesh wander. The result is gear noise under power and gears and bearings that wear out far faster than they should, which is an expensive way to find out a cheap part had failed.

The hard specification is the point of this part. A stiffer material holds the gear mesh where it was set even under the loads a 1/8 scale car generates, and survives the impacts that crack a standard bulkhead.

The D designation is Kyosho's fourth revision, superseding IF112, IF112B and IF112C, so this is the current version rather than an alternative. Supplied as a front and rear set. Dealers list fitment across the Inferno NEO, NEO ST Race Spec, ST-RR Evo, MP777 and MP-7.5.
