Kyosho IF142 17mm Wheel Wrench

A 17mm wheel wrench for 1/8 scale buggies and truggies.

17mm is the standard wheel nut size across the 1/8 class, and this is the tool for it. A proper wheel wrench grips all six flats of the nut at once, which is what stops you rounding the corners off an alloy nut. That matters more than it sounds, because a rounded wheel nut on a car with a tire glued to the rim is a genuinely difficult problem to solve trackside.

Speed matters too. Between heats you may be changing tires, checking bearings or swapping a damaged wheel, and a dedicated wrench turns that into a few seconds per corner rather than a fumble with a socket set.

This is a pit tool rather than a vehicle part, and it works on any 1/8 car running 17mm nuts regardless of brand.
