Kyosho IF225 Side Guard Set Left Right

This is the chassis side guard set for Kyosho's Inferno platform, containing one left and one right guard.

Side guards are the panels that run along the outside of the chassis between the front and rear wheels, and on an off-road car they do real work. They shield the chassis rails, links and electronics from the rocks and dirt thrown up by the front tires, which on a nitro car also means keeping debris out of the fuel and exhaust area. In wheel-to-wheel racing they take the rub from other cars alongside you instead of letting a wheel get under your chassis and flip you.

They are consumable by design. A guard that has gone brittle with age and fuel exposure, or that has torn away at its mounting tabs, stops protecting anything and just adds weight.

Note that this pack contains one left and one right guard, so it covers the whole car. This part supersedes the earlier IF11. Kyosho lists the original for the Inferno MP-7.5, MP-777 and Inferno GT, with dealers adding the GT2 and Inferno NEO 3.0.
