Kyosho IF272 Rear Shock Stay MP9 Readyset

This is the rear shock stay for the Kyosho Inferno MP9 Readyset.

The shock stay is the tower the upper ends of both rear shocks bolt to, so it anchors the entire rear damping system and takes the full load of every landing and every rut the back of the car hits. It also sets the upper shock mounting positions, which is the adjustment you use to change how much the rear rolls and how quickly the car reacts to steering input.

Because it sits high on the chassis, it is one of the first parts to take a hit in a rollover, and a bent or cracked stay quietly changes your shock angle long before it fails outright. That makes it worth inspecting after a heavy crash rather than waiting for it to break.

This is the Readyset version of the MP9 specifically, which differs from the kit cars in several places, so confirm which MP9 you have. Note also that Kyosho has since revised this part as IF272B, so availability of the original is limited to remaining stock.
