Kyosho IF279 Center Differential Plate MP9 Readyset

This is the centre differential plate for the Kyosho Inferno MP9 Readyset.

The plate sits over the centre differential and holds it in position between the front and rear driveline. That makes it structural rather than a cover. All of the engine's torque passes through the centre diff on its way to both axles, and the plate is part of what keeps that diff in exact alignment while absorbing the shock loading of landings.

When the plate distorts or cracks, the symptoms appear in the drivetrain rather than as an obvious break. Gear mesh goes inconsistent, you hear noise under power, and the diff bearings and outdrives wear far faster than they should. Because the cause is not obvious, it is worth inspecting whenever the car is apart after a heavy crash.

Note this is the Readyset version of the MP9. Kyosho built the Readyset to a different specification from the kit cars in several places, so confirm which MP9 you have before ordering. A higher durability alternative exists for this location under a separate part number.
