Kyosho IF418 Servo Saver Post Set Inferno MP9

This is the servo saver post set for Kyosho's Inferno MP9, supplied with the bearings that run on it.

The servo saver posts are the two vertical pivots that the steering bellcranks rotate around. Every steering input the servo makes passes through them, and they take the full impact load when a front wheel hits something solid. That combination makes them a genuine wear point, and it is why Kyosho supplies them with bearings rather than running the bellcranks on plain plastic.

When the posts wear or the bearings go rough, the bellcranks develop play, and play here is the worst kind because it sits between the servo and both front wheels. The car stops returning to the same centre point, steering feels imprecise off centre, and no amount of trim adjustment fixes it. It is a common and often-missed cause of vague steering on a well-used MP9.

The set includes two posts and four shielded bearings, so it is a complete rebuild of the assembly rather than a partial repair. Note that Kyosho has revised this part as IF418B, which is the current production version.
