Kyosho IF430 Engine Mount Set Inferno MP9

This is the engine mount set for Kyosho's Inferno MP9 and MP10 nitro platform, supplied as a left and right pair.

The engine mounts hold the engine to the chassis and set its exact position, which is what determines gear mesh between the clutch bell and the spur gear. That alignment matters more than it sounds. A mount that has shifted or cracked lets the mesh wander, and a wandering mesh chews through spur gears and clutch bells quickly while running noisy the whole time.

They also take a beating. Engine mounts absorb the vibration of a single cylinder engine running at high rpm, and they carry the whole engine through every landing and impact. Threads strip, and the alloy fatigues around the mounting holes.

This is the genuine Kyosho set, so the engine returns to its designed position and your existing gear mesh setting carries over rather than needing to be found again from scratch. Both mounts are included. Kyosho lists it across the Inferno MP9 TKI2 through TKI4, MP10, MP10T, ST-RR Evo and Inferno GT3.
