Kyosho IF444-01 Fuel Tank Bush Set MP9

This is the fuel tank bush set for Kyosho's Inferno MP9 and MP10, the mounting bushes that isolate the tank from the chassis.

These bushes do more than hold the tank down. A nitro engine vibrates hard, and mounting a full fuel tank rigidly to a vibrating chassis is a good way to crack the tank, fatigue its mounts, and shake the fuel enough to cause pickup problems mid-run. The bushes absorb that vibration while still holding the tank securely enough that it does not move under cornering and braking loads.

They are consumables. Constant vibration compresses and hardens them, and exposure to nitro fuel attacks the material over time. Once they harden they stop isolating, and the vibration goes straight into the tank and its mounting points.

A tank that has started moving in its mounts is worth investigating before it becomes a crack, because a leaking tank on a nitro car is both a lost race and a mess.

These are the bushes only, not the complete fuel tank. Kyosho lists them for the MP9 TKI4 V2 and the MP10 range, with dealers adding the earlier MP9, TKI2 and TKI3.
