This is the radio plate for the Kyosho Inferno MP9, finished in gunmetal.
The radio plate is the tray that carries the steering servo, receiver and receiver battery, and it doubles as a structural upper deck tying the chassis together. That dual role is why it matters more than a simple mounting bracket. A servo needs a rigid platform or it loses effective torque flexing its own mount, and on a nitro car the plate is also the barrier protecting your electronics from the fuel, oil and dirt that get thrown around the chassis.
It is a common casualty of heavy impacts and of the fuel and cleaner exposure that comes with running nitro, and a cracked plate lets the servo move under load, which shows up as vague and inconsistent steering.
This is the genuine Kyosho part in the original gunmetal finish, so servo and receiver mounting positions are unchanged and everything transfers straight across. It fits the Inferno MP9 and MP9 TKI2. Kyosho revised this plate for later cars, so the TKI3 and MP10 use different part numbers.
