Kyosho IF450 Radio Box Set Inferno MP9

This is the radio box set for the Kyosho Inferno MP9.

The radio box is the sealed enclosure that houses the receiver and keeps water, fuel residue and dirt away from it. On a nitro off-road car that protection is essential rather than optional. The receiver sits in the middle of a chassis that throws up dirt constantly, gets coated in oily exhaust residue, and regularly ends up in mud or standing water.

Water is the obvious risk but dust and fuel matter as much over time. Fine grit works into connectors and produces intermittent faults that come and go with vibration rather than failing cleanly, which makes them very hard to trace. Nitro fuel residue creeps into everything and degrades plastics.

Because the box only works if it seals, a cracked lid or a warped body is worth replacing rather than taping over. Supplied as a complete set so it rebuilds the enclosure rather than patching a single piece.

Kyosho lists this for the first generation MP9 through the TKI2, including the Spec A and World Championship versions. Later cars use a revised box under a separate number.
