Kyosho IF455 Wing Washer Gunmetal 2pcs Inferno MP9

A pair of wing washers in gunmetal finish, used to mount the rear wing on Kyosho's 1/8 scale buggies and truggies.

Wing washers spread the clamping load of the mounting bolts across the wing surface. That sounds trivial until you consider what a 1/8 scale wing goes through: it generates real downforce at speed, it acts as a lever arm every time the car lands or rolls, and all of that load concentrates at two small bolt holes. Without a washer to distribute it, the bolt head pulls straight through the wing material and you lose the wing, usually mid-race.

They also take the impact when the car lands on its wing, which is often, and a bent or cracked washer stops clamping evenly and lets the wing shift under load.

Despite the MP9 name, Kyosho's fitment list is one of the widest in the Inferno range. It covers MP9 and MP9e, MP10, MP10T, MP11, Inferno NEO 2.0 and 3.0, Inferno VE, and the ST-RR Evo. and Evo.2 truggies. Two washers are supplied, which is one full wing's worth.
