Kyosho IF459-2.8 2.8mm Front Sway Bar Inferno MP9

This is the 2.8mm front sway bar for Kyosho's Inferno MP9 and MP10 platforms, supplied as a single bar.

A sway bar, also called a stabilizer or anti-roll bar, links the left and right suspension arms so that when one side compresses in a corner the bar resists the chassis rolling onto that side. Fitting a thicker front bar cuts front body roll and makes the car turn in more sharply, but it also transfers weight across the front axle faster, which can cost you front grip on a loose or bumpy surface. A thinner bar does the opposite, letting the front load up progressively and find bite at the expense of some steering response.

Kyosho's front range runs from 2.1mm upward in 0.1mm steps, so at 2.8mm this is near the stiff end. It suits high-bite groomed clay and astroturf where the front has grip to spare and you want the car to rotate quickly, and it is usually too much for a rough or dusty track.

Fitment covers the MP9 and MP9e range, MP9 TKI2 through TKI4, MP10, MP10 TKI2 and TKI3, MP10e, MP10Te, MP11e and Inferno GT3.
