Kyosho IF503 Battery Tray Set Inferno VE

This is the battery tray set for Kyosho's electric Inferno chassis.

The tray is the cradle the LiPo pack sits in, and on a 1/8 scale electric car it is carrying the single heaviest item on the chassis through every landing and every impact. That makes it a structural part rather than a container. A cracked tray lets the pack move, and because the battery represents a large share of total vehicle mass, a pack that shifts under braking and cornering changes the car's balance from corner to corner in ways that are almost impossible to diagnose as a setup problem.

The tray also positions the pack fore and aft, which is itself a weight distribution setting on cars that allow it.

This is the genuine Kyosho set, so it mates correctly with the standard battery straps and cushions and the pack sits at the designed height and position. It works alongside the IF506 strap set and the IF507 and IF508 cushions. Kyosho lists it for the Inferno MP9e and MP9e TKI4, Inferno NEO 3.0 and 4.0 VE, Inferno GT2 VE Race Spec, Psycho Kruiser VE 2.0 and the IFW451 brushless conversion kit.
