Kyosho IF506 Battery Strap Set 3pcs Inferno VE

A set of three battery straps for Kyosho's electric Inferno chassis.

The strap is what holds the battery pack down in its tray, and on a 1/8 scale electric car it is doing more than it appears to. A LiPo pack is one of the heaviest single items on the chassis, and if it can shift even slightly under braking, cornering or a hard landing, that mass moves with it. The result is a car whose balance changes from corner to corner in ways that are almost impossible to diagnose as a setup problem, because the setup is not what is changing.

The safety side matters too. A pack that comes loose in a crash can be punctured or have its leads torn out, and neither is a good outcome with lithium chemistry.

Straps are wear items. They stretch, they go brittle with age and heat, and a stretched strap stops clamping properly long before it actually breaks. Three are supplied. Kyosho lists them across the Inferno GT2 VE Race Spec, Inferno NEO 3.0 and 4.0 VE, MP9e Evo. V2, Psycho Kruiser VE 2.0, Blizzard 2.0 and the IFW451 brushless conversion.
