Kyosho IFW339 HD Aluminum Clutch Shoe 3pcs

A set of three heavy duty aluminum clutch shoes for Kyosho's three-shoe nitro clutch.

The shoes fly outward under centrifugal force as engine speed rises and grip the inside of the clutch bell to transmit drive. They work against friction on every engagement, which makes them a genuine consumable.

These are Kyosho's upgraded version, and their own claim is specific: compared with the conventional three-piece clutch shoe, durability is greatly improved, and the material change gives more accurate clutch on and off. That second point is the one racers care about. A worn or inconsistent shoe grabs and releases unpredictably, which makes the car difficult to drive smoothly out of corners because you cannot anticipate when drive will arrive. A shoe that engages the same way every time is worth real lap time.

The durability gain also matters practically, because when shoes wear down far enough the clutch bell can contact the springs and destroy both.

Three are supplied, a complete set. Kyosho lists them across the Inferno MP10 range, MP10T and the GT2 Race Spec, with dealers adding the DBX 2.0, DRT, DST, MP9 and ST-RR.
