This is Kyosho's hard aluminum front upper suspension holder for the Inferno MP9, in the rear of the two front upper positions, anodized gunmetal.
The front upper holder carries the inner ends of the camber links, which means it sets camber gain and front roll centre. Those are two of the most influential geometry settings on a buggy, controlling how much negative camber the outside wheel picks up as the car rolls and therefore how much grip the front tire generates at full lean.
Fitting an aluminum holder in place of the standard plastic one buys rigidity. A plastic holder flexes under cornering load, which means your camber geometry moves around as the car loads up rather than staying where you set it. Removing that flex makes the front end feel more precise and more repeatable. Kyosho's own description is that it balances reliable suspension operation with strength, and dealers note it is stronger and stiffer than the plastic original while remaining light.
It accepts the standard camber inserts, so your geometry adjustments carry over. This is the rear position of the front pair, so confirm which you need before ordering.
