Kyosho IFW435-01 110mm HD Rear Center Swing Shaft

This is the 110mm heavy duty swing shaft used inside Kyosho's IFW435 Cap C-Universal rear and centre driveshaft assembly.

A universal joint driveshaft maintains constant velocity through its operating angle, unlike a plain dogbone which speeds up and slows down twice per revolution. In the rear and centre of a four-wheel-drive buggy, where the shaft runs at full drivetrain speed under the highest torque loads on the car, that translates to smoother power delivery and noticeably less vibration through the chassis.

The shaft is the wearing element of the assembly. It transmits the entire drivetrain load in torsion through joints that articulate constantly under that load, and once the ends open up you get a knock on throttle transitions and accelerating wear on the diff outdrives either side of it. Kyosho selling the shaft separately means you replace the part that actually wore rather than the whole universal assembly.

Length is the only thing distinguishing this from its sibling, so check before ordering: this is the 110mm rear and centre shaft, while the front and centre position takes an 84mm shaft. Fitment covers the Inferno MP9, MP9 TKI2 through TKI4 and MP9e Evo. V2.
