Kyosho IG001 GT Shock Set Inferno GT

A complete shock set for the Kyosho Inferno GT platform.

Buying a complete shock rather than individual components matters when you are building or rebuilding a corner of the car. Everything arrives matched and correctly sized, and you are not chasing individual part numbers part way through a job with the car in pieces.

Shocks are what keep the tires in contact with the ground. As the suspension moves over bumps and through corners, the shock controls how fast it compresses and how fast it returns, and that control is what stops the chassis oscillating after every input. A car with damaged or worn out shocks skips across rough ground and lands unpredictably off jumps, because the suspension never settles between impacts.

They are also among the most exposed parts on the car. Bodies get dented in crashes, shafts bend, and seals wear until the shock will not hold oil.

Kyosho gives the shaft length as 51mm, the case length as 39mm and the ball end inner diameter as 6mm. Dealers list two shocks per set. Fitment covers the Inferno GT, GT2 and GT2 VE.
