A pair of 10-spoke wheels in white for Kyosho's Inferno GT2 platform.

Kyosho sells these as an option wheel rather than the standard fitment, describing the design as high intensity. On an on-road 1/8 car the wheel carries enormous cornering load through the tire bead, and a wheel that flexes under that load lets the tire roll over on itself, which makes the car feel vague through long corners. A stiffer wheel keeps the contact patch where it belongs.

Wheels are consumables in a way people underestimate. They absorb kerb strikes and every hard landing on the rim edge, and one that has been cracked or knocked out of true will not let a tire seat evenly, which shows up as vibration at speed and uneven tire wear.

Because tires are glued to the rim, a damaged wheel usually costs you the tire too, so keeping a spare pair on the shelf is worth doing before you need them.

Kyosho lists these for the Inferno GT2 Race Spec and GT2 VE Race Spec. Two are supplied, tires not included. Also available in black and fluorescent yellow.
