Kyosho IGW001GM Aluminum Front Hub Carrier Set Gunmetal

This is Kyosho's aluminum front hub carrier set for the Inferno GT and GT2, anodized gunmetal and supplied as a left and right pair.

The hub carrier connects the front suspension arms to the steering knuckle, and it is where caster is set on the car. Caster is the fore and aft lean of the steering axis, and it has a large influence on behaviour: more caster gives stronger straight-line stability and builds steering as the car rolls into a corner, less gives quicker initial turn-in but a twitchier car at speed.

Aluminum over the standard part buys two things. It does not flex under cornering load, so the caster and camber you set stay where you put them instead of moving as the car loads up, which makes the front end feel more precise and repeatable. It also survives the front-end impacts that crack a composite carrier outright.

Both left and right carriers are included, so this covers the complete front end. Kyosho lists it as an option part for the Inferno GT and GT2, and it supersedes the earlier IGW001.
