A pair of 84mm Big Bore shock springs, wound with 1.4mm wire over 7.5 turns and color coded gray, in the M medium length class.
Kyosho's numbering encodes the specification directly: 7.5 turns of 1.4mm wire at an 84mm free length. The color code lets you identify a spring at a glance in the pit box rather than measuring it.
Within a fixed wire diameter and free length, fewer turns means a firmer spring, so at 7.5 turns this sits toward the firm end of the 84mm range. A firmer spring keeps the chassis flatter and resists squat and dive, making the car more responsive and precise on high traction groomed surfaces and holding it up better over big jump faces. The trade-off is that it skates on loose or rough ground where a softer spring would let the tires load up and find grip.
One important caution: Kyosho makes a gray spring at this identical 7.5 turn and 1.4mm rate in a 78mm free length as well. The only difference between them is the length, so check that you need the 84mm M size and not the 78mm before ordering. Two are supplied.
