A pair of 84mm Big Bore shock springs, wound with 1.4mm wire over eight turns and color coded light blue.

Kyosho's numbering encodes the specification directly: eight turns of 1.4mm wire at an 84mm free length, in the M medium size. The color code exists so you can identify a spring at a glance in the pit box rather than measuring it, and Kyosho runs a graduated ladder of colors from soft to firm across the 84mm range.

Spring rate is the most fundamental suspension setting you have. A softer spring lets the chassis roll and squat more, which loads the tires progressively and builds mechanical grip on loose, rough or low-bite ground. A firmer one keeps the car flatter and more responsive on high-traction groomed surfaces but skates where there is no grip to work with.

Which end of the car these go on depends on the chassis: they are a rear spring on the Inferno MP9 and MP10, and a front spring on the MP777 and the ST-RR truggies. Two are supplied.
