This is the long wing stay for Kyosho's Inferno ST truggy range.
The wing stay carries the rear wing behind the body, and its length is a genuine aerodynamic setting rather than just a mounting choice. Moving the wing further back increases its leverage over the rear axle, so the same wing generates more effective downforce and the car feels more planted at speed and more stable in the air off a jump. The trade-off is that a wing further back is also more exposed in a crash and adds a little more drag.
Wing stays take a beating regardless of length. Any rollover, any landing on the rear of the car, and any contact from behind loads this part first, and a bent or cracked stay lets the wing sit crooked. That costs you straight-line stability and makes the car rotate inconsistently in the air.
This is the extended-length version rather than the standard stay, so it changes wing position as well as replacing a broken part. Kyosho names it for the ST-R, with dealers extending fitment to the ST-RR, ST-RR Evo.2, MP777 and Inferno NEO ST 3.0.
