Kyosho MA013B Steering Clank Set Mad Force

This is the steering clank set for Kyosho's Mad Force monster truck platform, the bellcrank assembly that transfers servo movement to the steering links.

The clanks sit between the servo and the two steering links and pivot on posts mounted to the chassis. Everything the servo does passes through them, and on a monster truck that is a lot of force, because the tires are large, heavy and generating significant scrub resistance when the car is stationary or crawling.

They are also directly in the impact path. A front-end hit loads the steering links, and that load ends up in the clanks. When they crack, or when the pivots wear and develop play, the steering stops returning to the same centre point and feels imprecise off centre. No amount of trim adjustment fixes play in the linkage itself.

This is the B revision, superseding the original MA013, and Kyosho lists it as a standard rather than optional part. An aluminum steering set is available separately as an upgrade. Fitment covers the Mad Force, Mad Force Kruiser and Kruiser VE, Twin Force and Mad Crusher.
