Kyosho RF010 Rear Upper Link Rock Force

A pair of rear upper links for the Kyosho Rock Force 2.2 Jimny scale crawler.

On a four-link rear axle, the upper links are what locate the axle fore and aft and control how it rotates under torque. They set the anti-squat characteristic, which determines whether the chassis squats down and lifts the front wheels when you get on the throttle climbing an obstacle, or stays planted and puts the power down. That makes them a genuinely functional part on a crawler rather than just a mount.

They also take direct hits. A rear link is exposed to rocks and ledges every time the axle articulates over an obstacle, and a bent link quietly changes your axle geometry long before it visibly fails, leaving you wondering why the truck no longer climbs the way it did.
