Kyosho RFW003-1209 12mm Setting Spring White 64mm

A pair of optional setting springs for the Kyosho Rock Force 2.2 Jimny, measuring 12mm in diameter with 0.9mm wire and a 64mm free length.

At 0.9mm wire these are softer than the 1.0mm springs supplied in the kit. A softer spring lets the chassis settle further under its own weight and lets each wheel extend further to stay in contact with the ground as the truck articulates over an obstacle. On technical rock where keeping all four tires loaded is what gets you up the line, that extra compliance is often worth more than ride height.

The trade-off is ground clearance and body roll. Go too soft and the chassis sits down on its bump stops, drags on obstacles, and leans heavily on off-camber sections.

Kyosho sells these as setting springs rather than replacement parts, meaning they exist specifically so you can tune away from the kit baseline. Running softer at one end and stock or firmer at the other is a common way to bias the truck's behaviour. Two springs are supplied. A firmer 1.1mm version is available separately.
