Kyosho SIL0650-8 Silicone Shock Oil #650 80cc

Kyosho SIL0650-8 is a #650 weight silicone shock oil in an 80cc bottle. Damping comes from the oil being forced through the piston holes, so weight is the single biggest lever you have over how the suspension behaves — more so than spring choice for most drivers.

#650 is at the heavy end of the range. It is a rear-shock weight on big-jump 1/8 tracks, or a hot-weather choice generally, since silicone oil thins as it warms and a car set up on cool-morning oil will feel soft by mid-afternoon. Stepping up a weight is often the fix when a car that felt right in practice starts wallowing in the final.

The 80cc bottle is Kyosho's larger size, worth having in the weights you rebuild with often.
