Kyosho SX017 Front Lower Arm Shaft Scorpion XXL

A pair of front lower arm shafts for the Kyosho Scorpion XXL.

These are the hinge pins the front lower suspension arms pivot on. They carry every load the front suspension generates through a small diameter, and on a 1/7 scale buggy those loads are considerable because the car is large and heavy compared with a conventional off-road machine.

They must stay perfectly straight to function. A bent shaft makes the arm bind so it stops moving freely through its travel, and the symptoms are misleading: the suspension feels stiff, damping goes inconsistent, and most people work through shocks and springs before thinking to check the pins. They wear as well, and a worn shaft lets the arm develop play, which shows at the wheel as camber and toe that shift under load and a car that will not hold a setup between runs.

Since both sides see the same duty, replacing them as a pair makes sense. Two are supplied. The rear lower arm uses a different shaft under a separate part number, so confirm which end you are working on before ordering.
