Kyosho SX046 Front Knuckle Scorpion XXL

This is the front knuckle for the Kyosho Scorpion XXL.

The knuckle is the upright that the front wheel hub mounts into, and it is what actually steers the car. It carries the steering link, defines the steering axis, and takes the full force of every impact the front wheel receives. On a 1/7 scale buggy that is a lot of force, because the car has real mass and the wheels are large enough to catch obstacles hard.

Damage is not always obvious. A knuckle that has been bent rather than broken changes the steering geometry on that side only, so the car pulls under braking and turns differently left versus right. That is a difficult fault to diagnose unless you think to compare the two sides directly against each other, and it is worth doing after any significant front-end impact.

This is the genuine Kyosho part with factory geometry, so fitting it restores the designed setup rather than approximating it. Note this fits the 1/7 scale Scorpion XXL, not the smaller vintage Scorpion or Turbo Scorpion.
