Kyosho SXW010-01 Shock Spring Set Scorpion XXL

A pair of replacement shock springs for Kyosho's SXW010 aluminum shock set on the Scorpion XXL.

Springs are the most fundamental suspension setting on any vehicle. They carry the weight and determine how far the chassis moves for a given force, which sets ride height, how much the car dives under braking and rolls in a corner, and how much travel remains before the suspension bottoms out. On a 1/7 scale buggy those forces are large because the car itself is heavy.

They are also a wear item in a way people underestimate. A spring repeatedly compressed to its limit takes a permanent set, losing free length and rate. The car then sits lower than it should, runs out of travel sooner, and behaves differently side to side if one has sagged more than the other. Because the change is gradual it is easy to miss and easy to misdiagnose as a damping problem.

These are service springs for the optional SXW010 aluminum shock set, so those shocks need to be fitted already. Two are supplied.
