Kyosho TF013 Thrust Differential Ring TF-5 2pcs

The TF013 supplies two thrust rings for the ball differential used in Kyosho's TF-5 and related platforms.

In a ball diff, the thrust assembly is what lets you tighten the diff without the adjusting screw binding. The thrust bearing sits between two hardened rings, and those rings take the clamping load while allowing the screw to turn smoothly and hold its setting. When the rings develop pitting or flat spots, which happens gradually with every heat cycle and every diff adjustment, the diff stops holding tension, slips under power, and needs constant retightening.

Replacing the thrust rings alongside the thrust balls is standard practice during a ball diff rebuild, and doing it restores the crisp, repeatable adjustment the diff had when new.

Kyosho classifies this as a standard part rather than an option, and fitment is wider than the name suggests. It covers the TF-5, TF-5S and TF6 touring cars, the Lazer ZX-5 buggy in all versions, and the Spada 09L platforms. Two rings are supplied, which is the quantity used in one differential.
