Kyosho TR111C Center Bulkhead Set DBX DRX

This is the center bulkhead set for Kyosho's D-series chassis, covering the DBX, DST, DRX, DMT and DRT.

The center bulkhead is the housing that carries the center differential and locates it relative to the chassis and to the front and rear driveshafts. It is one of the most heavily loaded structures on a four-wheel-drive car: all of the engine or motor torque passes through the center diff, and the bulkhead has to hold that diff in exact alignment while absorbing the shock loading of landings and impacts.

When a bulkhead cracks or distorts, the symptoms are drivetrain rather than structural. Gear mesh goes inconsistent, you start hearing noise under power, and bearings and diff gears wear out far faster than they should. It is worth inspecting any time you have the car apart after a heavy crash.

This is the genuine Kyosho part and it is the current revision, superseding the earlier TR111B. It is supplied as a complete set, so the diff and bearings transfer straight across from the old bulkhead with no other parts required.
