Kyosho TRW105-03 Shock Pivot Set 2pcs

This is the pivot set for Kyosho's TRW105 Big Bore oil shock, as fitted to the DBX, DST, DRT and Inferno GT platforms.

The pivot is the component at the shock mounting eye that lets the shock rotate freely as the suspension cycles through its travel. It has to hold the shock firmly enough that there is no lateral play while still turning smoothly under load. Those two requirements pull against each other, which is why the pivot is a wearing part rather than a permanent one.

When it wears, the shock starts to rock in its mount instead of compressing cleanly. The practical effect is that the first part of every suspension input is absorbed by slop rather than by the damper, so the car feels vague over small bumps and inconsistent side to side. It usually announces itself as a knock you can hear over rough sections.

Replacing the pivots restores the shock to moving in a single clean plane. This is a service part for the TRW105 shock set, which is optional equipment on the DBX, DST and DRT, so the shocks must already be fitted. Two are supplied.
