Kyosho UM704 Front Upper Plate

The Kyosho UM704 Front Upper Plate is the genuine front brace for the Ultima RB6 and RT6. It sits across the top of the front bulkhead assembly and ties the front end together, adding torsional stiffness where the suspension loads are fed into the chassis. Front-end rigidity has a direct effect on steering feel: a stiff front end responds immediately to input, while flex there makes the car feel vague and slow to turn in because some of the input is absorbed before it reaches the tires.

The plate also protects the bulkhead assembly in a head-on impact by spreading the load rather than letting it concentrate on a single mounting point. This is the direct factory replacement, bolting on with the kit hardware and requiring no modification. Package includes one front upper plate. Inspect it after any significant front-end crash, since a hairline crack here softens the whole front end without being obvious at a glance.
