Kyosho UM719 One Piece Aluminum Shock Cap (2)

Kyosho UM719 is a genuine pair of one-piece machined aluminum shock caps for Kyosho's big bore dampers. The cap seals the top of the shock body and houses the bladder or diaphragm, so it is the component that has to hold pressure as oil is displaced during compression. The one-piece design is the upgrade here: with fewer parts in the seal path there are fewer places for oil to weep, and machined aluminum resists the deformation that eventually causes a plastic cap to leak at the threads.

Leak-free caps matter because a shock that loses even a small amount of oil goes soft and inconsistent over a long run without any obvious external sign. These install as direct-fit upgrades on Kyosho's W5303, W5304, and W5305 big bore shock sets, covering the Ultima RT5, RB5, RB6, SC, and DB along with the Lazer ZX-5 series. Package includes two shock caps, enough for one pair of dampers.
