Kyosho UM723 Gear Box Set Mid Motor

The Kyosho UM723 Gear Box Set is the genuine transmission housing for the mid-motor configuration of Kyosho's 1/10 scale 2WD Ultima buggies. Mid-motor is a distinct chassis layout that moves the motor forward of the rear axle to shift weight toward the centre of the car, and it needs its own gearbox because the gear train and motor mounting geometry differ from the rear-motor arrangement. Running mid-motor generally suits higher-grip surfaces, where the more centralised mass helps the buggy rotate and put power down cleanly.

The gearbox halves carry the diff and idler bearings and set the gear mesh, so a cracked or worn case causes mesh to wander and gears to whine or strip. This set installs as the direct replacement for the mid-motor gearbox on the Ultima RB6 and RT6, using the existing internals and hardware. Package includes the complete gear box set for one chassis.
