This is the rear shock stay for the Kyosho Ultima RT6 built in the mid-motor configuration.
The shock stay is the tower the upper ends of both rear shocks bolt to, so it takes the full load of every landing and every rut the back of the truck hits. It also sets the upper shock mounting positions, which is what you move when you want to change how much the rear rolls and how quickly the truck reacts to steering input.
Sitting high on the chassis, it is one of the first parts to take a hit in a rollover, and a cracked or bent stay quietly changes your shock angle before it ever fails outright.
This is the genuine Kyosho service part, dimensionally identical to the stay supplied in the kit, so your existing shock positions and rear camber settings carry over once it is fitted and the truck returns to its known baseline. The mid-motor and rear-motor RT6 layouts use different rear stays, so confirm which configuration your truck is built in before ordering. Some dealers also list this stay as fitting the Ultima SC6.
